All the details
Does it work with my favorite app?

It pastes with Ctrl+Shift+V on Linux/X11. For other apps, use voiceboard --clipboard; native Wayland apps may need different input tools.

Do I need an app on my phone?

No. Open the pairing link in Android Chrome. Use browser speech over HTTPS, keyboard dictation, or type.

Is my voice or text stored anywhere?

Voiceboard receives text, not audio, and doesn’t store prompts. Your phone’s speech provider may process audio.
